Turkey elections: President to be announced in second round – Erdogan ahead, leaving Kilicdaroglu behind

Turkey Elections Winner next to Erdogan and Imamoglu, who is said to be the shining star of the opposition the next day.

Turkey elections are not only the most crucial in the country’s history, but also the dirtiest.

That’s what Kemal Kilicdaroglu’s opposition will argue to knock Recep Tayyip Erdogan en route to the second round.

The Turkish president has proved to be too resilient to be defeated, with almost 49% of the votes, significantly more than the 45% credited to the opposition leader. Despite claims that Anadolu ran an unfair campaign, it was clear from the early vote count that Erdogan was steadily increasing in support.

The results of the Turkish parliamentary elections suggest that Western publications, such as The Economist, The Washington Post, and Der Spiegel, which have been critical of the Turkish President, may have actually worked in his favor. This is especially true in the case of Vladimir Putin, who would be the secondwinner to Erdogan if the latter‘s victory is confirmed.

The second round regulator

Sinak Ogan‘s 5% of the vote will likely be the deciding factor in the next round. Despite his ties to Meral Aksener of the opposition, experts think his nationalist followers will likely align with Erdogan. Ogan has given no indication of which way he will go, keeping his cards close to his chest.

Where will the “Grey Wolf” go in the turkey elections ?

Add to this the million-dollar question of where the “Grey Wolf” will finally stand the next day, and it becomes clear that Erdogan can get ahead more easily and quickly.

In any case, as an international analyst commented, the people of these factions are used to going with the strong.

The Shining Star

It was not a surprise that the wellliked Istanbul mayor, who had previously spoken out in opposition when he was elected mayor and was eventually proven correct, made remarks concerning the outcome, as opposed to the leader of the opposition, Kemal Kilicdaroglu, who was nowhere to be found in order to try to take the spotlight in the second round.

Young people and the Kurds

But because history repeats itself like a farce the second time around, in the words of Karl Marx, analysts believe that Erdogan has succeeded and that Kiltsdaroglu will have an unequal fight, since the Turks, including the 5 million who voted for the first time and the Kurds, who everyone thought would decide the outcome, chose the devil they knew over the one they have never seen in the front line of power before.
